Time based storytelling

With a group of six students, we have created our own film. This horror film is made to show the importance of social contact and the dangers of social isolation. Through taking on the responsibility for the audio design, I have learned a lot about the creative process of making a film and how to convey emotions and ideas through sound and music.

CoLabs

Design

With a group of 6 students we have created, through an app, a collaborative environment for our students. In this app people can offer their skills to others and people can find others if they need any help. This project includes an NFC scanner that scans who is available for help and an app that visualizes this data. We aimed to create a platform where people feel they can ask whatever, whenever they want to whoever is available at that time without feeling restricted by beliefs or fears and in the process creating a stronger community.

Predictive Design

Graphic and UX design

For this project, I have tried working on a User Interface Design for an app that is able to predict the success of a song. This app is worked out in Figma and based on real Spotify data. Using simple characteristics like instrumentalness and loudness of a song, a reliable general prediction can be made about its success. Feel free to click below to learn more about this project!

Project Athena

This is one of the most ambitious projects I have worked on so far. Together with a group of 20 creative people all around the world, we have started on a journey to create our very own game. This open-world RPG is meant to help us develop our creative abilities and make an awesome game in the process. Slow but steady

We live in a world that seems to be in a rush. We have questioned this mentality, because besides economic growth it can cause burn-out and mental health issues that can ultimately be detrimental to society and it’s progress. In our virtual reality game you play as a snail trying to reach the top of a tree. The goal is to maintain a moderate pace while climbing, this simulates our proposition that ‘slow and stead wins the race’. We have created a physical installation to simulate the snail-experience. Immersive Storytelling

With a group of 6 individuals, we have created our very own game. This game set in 2050 is meant to warn people about the dangers of technology, and its effect on our mental well-being. In this school project, I was in charge of the music and sound design. In my music and sound design, I have tried to recreate feelings of loneliness and fear that might be caused by excessive use of technology in the year 2050.

Free space

Composition

For this school project, I have started experimenting creating music for films. Using scenes from existing films like Dune and Blade Runner 2049, I have tried to create a soundtrack that matches the feel and intention of the scene. This is one of my first experiments on creating an original film score.
